While the Super Bowl in my opinion was one of the better games in recent years (last years NE/NYG matchup notwithstanding), the commercials that normally I anticipate with baited breath kind of left me sitting there with a mouthful of...well, not-so-pleasant stuff. Now I understand that the economy has effected the business advertising world just like the rest of us (cough), but there were very few that actually gave me a chuckle - nevermind a full-on belly laugh.
Sigh.
I really don't need to see another E-Trade baby commercial as long as I live. And Budweiser, you are heading down a dark and lonely path if you fill my television with more of the Clydesdale - I mean, it was cute the first 100 times but lately you've been kicking a dead...
Maybe that wasn't the best way to phrase that. Still, overkill sucks. Next year, we'll have a bunch of tlittle ponies pulling around a Radio Flyer wagon as part of a training regimen to get them ready for the big time.
Gah. Here I am ranting about horses for crying out loud. I better just shut up and give you my picks for the Top 5 Super Bowl Commercials of 2009. Check out last years Top 5 here.

My favorite commercial was the one about 'enhancements'
I am so not going to watch any of them! Super Bowl... does nothing for me! Don't even know a thing about it really, expect that you Americans go ga-ga over it! lol
Talking babies freak me out.
The game itself confuses me I have to admit...hubby loves it though {Patriots fan} and eagerly awaits the Superbowl every year...I'd rather watch grass grow personally...some of the ads are pretty wicked, though the amount of money they pay to advertise during the game is mind boggling!!
I liked this videos. Especially this one Carrier Builder :-). They are all good, of course.
