It has been over 2 months since my last post. How sad.
I had planned on giving my 100th post some time to bask on its own, giving me a chance to relish the accomplishment and to reward myself with a little break of sorts. A day or two, maybe a week tops.
But 2 freaking months?!?
In the words of my deceased little buddy Vizzini from the Princess Bride, "Inconceivable!"
But alas, it happened. Why exactly? I am not sure. I still like to write. I still like people enjoying what I write. Maybe it was that I had used up all my good material and that I felt that writing about seeing a picture of Elvis in a pile of dog droppings wouldn't be as humourous as I thought it was. (It was the younger Elvis, not the older, pudgy looking one to all of those that were curious - I know you are out there.)
Then a realization hit me. Do all of my posts have to be funny? No. What can't I just write what I feel and let the cards fall where they may? When I started this blog, it was solely for the purpose of putting my thoughts on "paper" so to speak. Somewhere along the line I felt that if what I had to say didn't make everyone double over in laughter, it wasn't worth writing at all.
That is wrong. Writing...anything is better than nothing.
So I am writing again and I hope you will read. Some of what I write you may enjoy, some you may find as boring as watching a Behind The Music documentary on Lawrence Welk. I am hoping on more of the former and less of the latter, but with me you never can tell.
But make no mistake, I will be writing...
...something.

Glad you're back, baby!
I'm glad you're back! I've sorta been in the same place for awhile. Thanks to inspiration from your lovely wife I've decided to start blogging again.
Can't wait to read the new posts, no matter what content they contain.
Exactly! I'm still disappointed when a post I thought would be entertaining seemingly flops; however, I love the little surprise of a spur of the moment post getting a big response. Therefore, like you, I decided to write anything and everything when inspiration hits me. It's the only way to fly.
The Princess Bride is played each evening at my house from 5:45 until 7 when we eat dinner. You are welcome to come by, but must tolerate my 2.5 yr. old and I saying all the lines.
